Udayapur : A school principal in Udayapur has been accused of raping a female student studying in his own school within the school premises.
The police have arrested Shrestha, 47, a principal of Shivalaya Toll, Belka Municipality-2, after a complaint was filed alleging that he raped a 14-year-old student. The police have said that they are investigating further.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kedarman Dong, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Udayapur, informed that the principal of Himshikhar Community English Boarding School in Kanchanjunga, Belka Municipality-2, has been arrested on charges of raping the girl.
According to the police, the victim’s sister-in-law had filed a written complaint at the Area Police Office, Rampur Thoksila at 6 pm on Bhadra 15, alleging that Principal Yubaraj Shrestha had raped a student in his office room at around 10:45 am on Bhadra 14.
Shrestha was arrested immediately after the complaint was filed and kept at the Area Police Office, Rampur Thoksila. The District Police Office, Udayapur, has stated that further investigation is underway against him.
